Visualizing with technology!

I am completely amazed with the information that I have discovered in this lesson. I think that visualizing with technologies is such a huge step to take in the correct direction. We are competing with so much when it comes to teaching our student’s now-a-days because they are so dependent on technology. I think that without visualizing with technologies, students wouldn’t know how to visualize things on paper or on the computer. Technology helps students grasp the idea, and gets and holds their attention. For example, while working on a math problem it is very important to be “visual” which is completely correct. There is such a large math process that we all have to go through just to get to our answers. I have never thought about how visual we are in this world, until I read and studied this lesson. After reading chapter nine I realized that technology is very important in my life along with many, many others.

  1. Great job Sarah! It was an eye opener at the amount of material there is out there to assist in the classroom where visual learning is concerned. Many students will benefit from this technology and others may suffer because of it. Because not all students learn the same. And we don't want technology to take the place of teacher student interaction. One thing that I do know is that the educators have the responsibility to find out what works for every student individually. There are pros and cons in it all. Wish you well in your endeavors. 2. I agree with you in so many ways. I didnt realize that as a society that we were so visual. With Math is one of the number one visual subjects. I am not that much of a visual leaner, but to a certain extent I am. I like to see it but I am more of a “hands-on” type of learner. With these techniques students will, be able to enhance their leaning styles and pick up new ones as well.
